Make Your Be Green Save Green Pledge

To take advantage of Smart Trips Be Green, Save Green discounts with a clear conscience, we ask that you take a moment to think about just how you will become a greener commuter during the Commuter Challenge.

Ideas for pledges include:

  • keep my car keys separate from other keys so that I have to stop and consider whether I really need my car for each trip
  • take the bus to work instead of driving or look for a carpool partner, even if it's just once a week
  • talk to other parents about taking turns walking our kids to school instead of driving them (google “walking school bus” and see getting to school can be fun instead of a chore!)
  • walk to or bringing lunch instead of driving
  • show a friend how to take the bus to work
  • show a neighbor how to get to work by bike
  • see if someone at church would like to carpool
  • walk or bike to the store when you would usually drive
  • have a KAT date night (go out to dinner and a movie via the bus)
  • talk to my boss about working from home once a week or every two weeks, or working 4 ten hour days
